WELCOME TO MOUNTAIN VIEW HOLIDAYS

Spectacularly perched at the edge of a cliff 5,000 feet above sea-level, Kelburne Mountain View Cottages overlook the southern plains of Sri Lanka. Old timers say that you can see forever, and on those special days you can watch the surf at Hambantota.

Kelburne Mountain View, well-known for its unrivalled and breathtaking views, is situated in the midst of a working tea estate. Colorfully clad pluckers wade through the tea bushes gathering a leaf and a bud. You can dance with clouds as they waft through you or walk on the clouds as they flit under you. Whichever way you look at it, Kelburne Mountain View Cottages, its environs, and its location are all nature personified. You will find that your time at Kelburne Mountain View will connect you with nature, and more importantly, with yourself. It gives you the time to bond with your family. Your stay will become an unforgettable experience, and the photographs you take will keep those treasured memories with you forever.

Your visit to Kelburne Mountain View will take you through the Uva Province, popular for its high-grown, light, and aromatic tea. The historic Haputalé Pass, where Keppitipola held the British at bay in 1817, will be the beginning of your adventure. Kelburne Mountain View offers easy access to the Dowa Caves, Maligawila, and Buduruwagala - archaeological sites; to Ravana Ella and the Sita Temple - mythological landmarks which connect Sri Lanka to the epic tale of the Ramayana; to Yala and Udawalawe - wildlife habitats; to Arugam Bay and Pottuvil or Matara and Hambantota - beach fronts.

We have 4 colonial-style cottages: Aerie, Wildflower, Rose, and Sunflower. Each cottage is unique and offers an unforgettable view. We offer a home away from where you can unplug from the digital world and reconnect with nature as you relax to the gentle sounds of dragonflies flitting across the garden of your personal cottage and sip the freshest tea in all of Sri Lanka.

Come to where time stands still. Stay at Kelburne Mountain View.
